Description

The spa spring cistern, located off Mill Lane in Stamford, is an early 19th-century structure that was restored in 1862. It is made of limestone ashlar and features a sunken, hollow, circular design with a bulbous, onion-shaped lid. The cistern was built to collect water from the spring for medicinal spa purposes.
