Description

The Spring is a spring head dating from 1688 and the mid 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar. The structure features a small circular chamber over the spring, which is accessed through a segment-headed chamfered arch. The front of the chamber has a slightly raised center with a chamfered band above it. Above this is a moulded top adorned with scroll work and a central scroll inscribed with the year 1688. In front of the well, there is a pool with battered ashlar sides.
