Description
The garden archway, dating from around 1845, is constructed from ashlar stone. It features a semi-circular headed archway with imposts and a keyblock, set within an ashlar wall that has a cornice and flanking pilasters. Behind the arch, there is an additional wall that contains a dome-shaped semi-circular headed recess, which holds a damaged bust with the Bertie cypher beneath it. The flanking pilasters support a moulded cornice. This archway was formerly part of the southeast corner of the now-demolished Uffington House.
