Description

The fountain and basin, dating from around 1845, are made of ashlar and were originally located beside the southwest corner of the now-demolished Uffington House. The fountain features a dolphin head above a moulded semi-circular arch, with ramped side walls that end in flowery scrolls. At the center, there is a square basin with swept sides. In front of the fountain, there is a semi-circular basin with a moulded rim. This information was sourced from Country Life, December 31st, 1904.
