Description
The Trustee Savings Bank, located at 6 West Street, is a mid-18th century building that has undergone later alterations. It stands three storeys tall with a slate roof featuring stone coping and two rendered chimneys. The building has a wooden dentil eaves cornice and is constructed of red brick with rusticated quoins. There are three windows with flat brick arches and stucco keystones, featuring double hung sashes with flush frames. The ground floor at the back has been modernized. To the right, there is a passage arch made of stone, complete with a keystone and stone plinth blocks. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 6 to 18 (even) and the Baptist Chapel.
