Description

The Crown Public House is a mid-19th century building located on the north side of West Street. Its front elevation is finished in stucco and roughcast, which may hide its 18th-century origins. The building is two storeys high and features four windows set within a shaped architrave. The cornice is adorned with bracket-shaped modillions and has a small parapet. The entrance door is framed in a plain wood case topped with a pediment, and there is a coach arch to the side. The Crown Public House is part of a group that includes Nos 6 to 18 (even) and the Baptist Chapel.
