Description

The premises occupied by Midland Bank is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of Market Place. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of yellow brick. The building features a stone-capped parapet and a moulded stone cornice above a yellow brick band. There is a stone band between the first and second storeys. The first floor has three windows with flat stone hoods supported by carved brackets, while the second floor windows have flat arches that may be made of stone painted to resemble brick. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has been modernized.
