Description
The Boathouse in the Wilderness, located 200 metres west of Belton House, dates from around 1800. It features rustic woodwork, a brick plinth, ashlar coping, and a hipped corrugated iron roof. The structure is single storey and consists of 4 by 2 bays. It has rustic posts that originally included a mid rail and infill panels of rustic work, although most of these elements are now missing. This boathouse is situated within Belton Park, which is listed on the Garden Register at grade I.
