Description

North Lodge in Belton House Drive is a lodge built in the mid-19th century, with later additions and alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a stucco front and a hipped slate roof, topped with a central ashlar ridge stack that has a coped flue. It is a single-storey, single-bay structure. The front has a three-bay verandah supported by chamfered wooden posts, which covers a four-light metal-framed casement window. To the left of the verandah is a beaded six-panel door. The right side of the lodge includes a 19th-century wrought-iron bell frame with a canopy attached to the eaves. At the rear, there is a flat-roofed addition from the 19th century.
