Description

Two garden urns, dating from around 1810, are located at the north end of the Italian garden northwest of Belton House. Designed by Jeffry Wyatville, these urns are made of ashlar and feature elaborate octagonal shapes adorned with swags of flowers. They have moulded tops and pine cone finials. The pedestals of the urns are concealed by surrounding yew topiary. These urns are part of several estate structures created by Wyatville for the first Earl Brownlow of Belton House between 1810 and 1820. The site is situated within Belton Park, which is listed on the Garden Register at grade I.
