Description
The pair of garden urns located on the North Terrace at Belton House dates from the early 19th century. They are made of stucco composition and feature shallow round shapes with rolled lips, standing on square ashlar pedestals that have rebated bases and caps. These urns were likely part of the garden furniture commissioned by the first Earl Brownlow, who lived from 1807 to 1853. The urns are situated within Belton Park, which is recognized on the Gardens Register at grade I.
