Description

No 14 on Water Street is a building with origins dating back to the 17th century. It has a gable end facing the road and consists of one storey with attics, constructed from coursed rubble. The roof is made of stone slate and features stone gable ends. There are two stone chimneys at the gable ends and three hipped dormers with modern casements. A 19th-century chamfered lintel is present above a modern door and window. Additionally, there is a modern glazed penticed extension. This building is included as part of a group with Nos 10 to 12, the Registered Office of J & B North & Son Ltd, the Wire Store of J & B North, Nos 14, 15, and Welland House.
