Description
Number 2, Water Street is a building with origins in the 18th century, although most of its features date from the 19th century. It is two storeys tall with attics, constructed from coursed rubble. The building has a mansard roof made of stone slates, with stone-capped gable ends and two brick chimneys. There is one gabled dormer and casement windows with glazing bars. To the left, there is a stone rusticated quoin. The shallow canted 19th-century bar is two storeys high, has a wood modillion cornice, is rendered, and has a roof covered with Welsh slates. The 19th-century door consists of six fielded panels, framed by a chamfered wood architrave and topped with a stone flat arch. Number 2 forms part of a group with numbers 2 to 4 Water Street.
