Probably dating from the 18th century, 4 Water Street is a two-storey building with attics, constructed of coursed rubble. The roof is covered with stone slates and features two hipped dormers. Brick chimneys are located at the gable ends. The front elevation has two windows, each with roughly rusticated surrounds and lintels featuring a keystone. The windows have double-hung sashes with glazing bars. A modern door is fitted, accompanied by a rectangular fanlight. Rusticated quoins are also present.
