Description

Two detached cottages, numbered 14 and 15, form the southern entrance to numbers 1 to 13 Lumby's Terrace. The cottages date to 1826 and 1827, as indicated by the initials "M.L." on each. They are three storeys high and built of coursed rubble. The roofs are hipped and covered with stone slate. Each cottage has a single brick chimney. Each storey features one window with stone voussoirs, a wooden frame, and double-hung sashes containing glazing bars. The doors are of a similar style, with plain architraves. Number 15 has an iron knocker. Number 14 is dated "M.L.1827", and Number 15 is dated "M.L.1826." Numbers 1 to 15 Lumby's Terrace are considered to form a group and are of group value.
