Description

The building is a former farmhouse, now divided into two cottages, located south of Denton Manor House in Denton Park. It dates from the 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. The structure is made of coursed ironstone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped by a Collyweston diminishing coursed slate roof featuring raised stone coped gables with finials. It has a single gable and two ridge stacks and follows an L-plan layout.

The building is two storeys high with attics and has an irregular four-bay front. The entrance is off-centre, featuring a planked door set in a moulded ashlar four-centred arched surround. To the left of the door is a four-light window, and to the right is a five-light window. There is also a blocked doorway with a four-centred arched surround that now contains a two-light plain casement. On the first floor, there are two four-light windows, a two-light window, and a three-light window. Each of the front gables has a single two-light and three-light window. All windows feature ovolo moulded mullions, with the left side having central king mullions and cornices.

At the right-hand end, there is a central half-glazed door, flanked by two two-light windows on the left and a four-light window on the right. The first floor includes three additional two-light windows, all with mullions and cornices. Inside, the building retains a chamfered bressumer above the fireplace.
