Description

The gateway and gate located on the west side of the churchyard in Denton Park date from the 19th century. It features a cast iron gate designed in an early 18th-century style, characterized by a scrolled rail and top, which is set within an ashlar gateway. The gateway has a stilted pointed chamfered inner arch, with a semi-circular top that is hood moulded. On either side of the gateway, there are sloping coped walls made of ironstone rubble.
