Description

The stone cross located in the garden immediately northwest of The Leys is a 14th-century structure. It features an octagonal shaft that rises from a square base, which has wide angle chamfers. Each face of the base is adorned with cusped panels and shields. The cross is now situated in the garden of a former school, which once enclosed the earlier village green.
