Description
17 St George's Street is a building dating from the early 18th century or earlier. It has two storeys and attics, constructed in ashlar stone. The roof is modern and covered with tiles, featuring three hipped dormers and modern casement windows. The south end of the building has rusticated quoins. There are three windows with stone surrounds, carved keystones, and double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The left-hand window on the ground floor has lost its keystone. To the right, there is a modern three-light window, also with sashes and glazing bars. The entrance features a similar doorway with a shell hood that has cement lining on carved brackets, and a plain rectangular fanlight with an iron lamp bracket below. The building has a plinth.
