Description
No. 9 St George's Square is a mid-18th century cottage, originally built in 1671, that stands two storeys high and is finished with cement render. The front features two unevenly spaced windows with hung sashes, flush frames, and glazing bars. The door, dating from the 19th century, consists of four panels with two glass sections. The back elevation showcases two high gabled roofs and sash windows with wooden lintels. An iron foot scraper is also present. This building is part of a group that includes the Church of St George, Nos 1 to 7 (consecutive), Nos 9 to 12 (consecutive), an outbuilding to No 12, and Nos 14 to 22 (consecutive). Additionally, it forms a group with Nos 25 and 26 St Mary's Street.
