Description
Nos 9, 10, and 11 on St George's Street are low cottages with a charming appearance, dating from the 16th or 17th century, although they have later window styles. These buildings are one storey high with attics. Nos 9 and 10 feature two gabled semi-dormers and two windows on the ground floor, along with a plain door. No 11 has two hipped dormers and two windows on the ground floor, also with a plain door. A projecting stack supports a cylindrical stone chimney, which is not a Norman or 12th-century chimney as some sources have claimed. These cottages, along with Nos 6, 7, and 9 to 11, form a cohesive group.
