Description

Nos 23 and 24, St George’s Street, are a pair of buildings dating to the early 17th century, with later alterations. No. 23 is constructed of coursed rubble, while No. 24 is rendered stone. Both buildings have Welsh slate roofs. No. 23 has a modern door and a 19th-century shop window. Other windows throughout the buildings have 19th-century glazing, with one window on No. 23 being of three lights. No. 24 features a 19th-century splayed bay with nine-light windows to each storey, incorporating moulded stone mullions and a gabled, capped label. It has a plain door. Nos 23 to 28 form a notable group.
