Description

42 Flowergate is a building from the first half of the 18th century, constructed of painted ashlar. It stands three storeys tall with attics and features a modern tile roof that includes a dormer with two casement lights. The façade has two windows with flat arches, flush frames, and double-hung sashes that do not have glazing bars. There are remnants of keystones that have been rendered. A small later window has been added to the left side on the first floor. The building also has a large fascia and a modern shop front. It is included in the listing for its group value.
