Description
The Stone House is an early 16th-century building, constructed of ashlar. It is two storeys high with an attic and basement. The front elevation features three 19th-century sash windows and a 19th-century gabled porch also of ashlar. The side elevation, or main frontage, retains two original four-light mullioned windows. Two gables are present. A modern or restored wing abuts the original structure, slightly projecting forward, with two 19th-century windows having hood moulds and two gables. The building underwent significant alterations and extensions around 1800. This group value reflects its early origins and subsequent development.
