Description
Chaseley is a large house dating from around 1780 and later, originally serving as the parish workhouse. It is set back from the road and constructed of red brick, with a facade covered in later stucco. The building has three storeys and features four sash windows framed by moulded architraves. There is a later moulded wood doorcase situated behind a Tuscan porch, which includes a frieze, a modillion cornice, and a restored pediment. The porch is flanked by plain pilasters that rise above the eaves, ending in mutilated ball-head finials. A moulded band runs along the second floor, and there is a moulded wood eaves cornice topped by a parapet.
