Description
17 Lower Brook Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of stucco and featuring three storeys. The main facade includes two sash windows with engraved surrounds, with the second-storey windows set in moulded architraves. Above, there are coupled Ionic fluted pilasters that extend over the upper storeys. The first floor has a cornice that was previously adorned with wreathed paterae, along with a plain frieze and a modern cornice that replaced the original moulded one. The building has a blocking course at the top. The lower storey is flanked by coupled engraved pilasters on either side, and there is a modern shop front at the centre, with a two-light wing on the left-hand side.
