Description

The pigeoncote at Dovecote Farm is a late 18th-century structure that was restored in the 20th century. It is built of red brick and features a conical plain tile roof, with a timber-planked top and a shaped copper roof. The building has a circular plan and stands two storeys high, with a slightly battered base and brick dentillated eaves. There is a single planked doorway and a plain light located under the eaves. The circular wooden top includes small flight holes and is topped with a ball finial and weathervane. Inside, there are brick ledges and boxes, and the roof timbers have been renewed.
