Description

Hawthorne Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the south side of Quadring South Drove. The building is constructed of red brick in English bond, with a pantile roof, two brick gable stacks, and a dentillated brick eaves course. The two-storey, three-bay front has a central planked door flanked by single margin light sashes, all with brick segmental heads. Above are three similar windows to the eaves. In the left-hand gable are the initials “JM” incorporated into the tie plates. To the right is a single-storey, two-bay service block with a gable stack, a half-glazed door, and a two-light casement window.
