Description
The dovecote at Bodorgan home farm is a circular tower made of red brick, built on a rubble base. It features a modern conical slate roof topped with an octagonal louvred cupola, which replaces the original lantern and is crowned by a weathervane. The base is mainly made of gritstone and has a plinth encircling it. The brickwork is laid in English Garden bond and includes three rows of pigeonholes at the top, equipped with slate perches. Above the pigeonholes, there are three courses of header bricks, with the top course slightly projecting.
On the north side, there is a door with a segmental arch, and above it, a tall opening that is partly blocked, also with a segmental head. The walls of the dovecote are whitewashed, and there are seven rows of nesting holes inside, with a stone flag floor.
