Description
The privy block at Bodorgan home farm is a notable structure from the 19th century, featuring a high-walled yard that encloses two privies, which are square in plan and topped with crude cock and hen coping. The walls are constructed from rubble with gritstone dressings. A brick arched doorway on the eastern end of the northern elevation leads to a small courtyard, which may have served as a laundry area.
On the western elevation, there are two windows that stand out due to their prominent gritstone architraves and lintels, along with brick sills. Additionally, there is a low horizontal opening with a gritstone lintel at the base of the western wall, located towards the right end. The two earth closets are accessed from the courtyard and are positioned in the northwest and southwest corners. The structure features rubble walls, gritstone jambs, and single pitch slate roofs.
To the south, there was previously a slate water tank for the laundry, while to the east lies the poultry yard.
