Description
The privy block at the Rectory is a square structure built from local rubble masonry with mortar. It features a pyramidal roof with projecting eaves, covered in small, old slates that are grouted. Internally and externally, the two sides of the privy block are separated by a rubble wall that extends north from the rectory. The building is symmetrically planned, with each side having a doorway in the south wall and a single small-paned light on the return elevations. Inside, the privy is divided by the continuation of the rubblestone wall, which also extends north from the rectory. The privy retains seating for two privies in each room, positioned along the central wall.
