Description
The garden wall, railings, and gates at the Rectory date from the 18th century and enclose a rectangular garden in front of the rectory. The low rubble wall is topped with closely spaced railings featuring arrowhead finials. The main entrance to the garden is located in the east wall, directly opposite the entrance to the house. This entrance is crudely built from local rubble, with square stone piers and a rough voussoir head leading to a square-headed opening, topped with roughly embattled coping. There is also a side entrance near the rectory in the south wall, which has dressed round arched gatepiers that support double gates, reflecting the design of the railings.
