Description
Number 27, The Park is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick, with some ashlar detailing. The roof is a hipped design covered with 20th-century concrete tiles, featuring overhanging paired, bracketed eaves. The house has two lateral stacks and a single stack at the rear, and it is set on a plinth. There is an ashlar sill band at the first floor level. The building is two storeys high and has three bays.
At the center, there is an open Doric ashlar porch supported by free-standing fluted columns, with plain pilasters behind, an entablature, and a cornice. The porch features a partially glazed door. On either side of the porch, there are single glazing bar sash windows, with three similar sash windows above, all set under cambered arches and with flush wedge lintels.
