Description
The Court House, formerly known as Parkside, is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick on a plinth and features a hipped plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high with a regular three-bay facade, a plat band above the ground floor, and corbelled stacks at each end.
On the first floor, there are three 16-pane glazing bar sash windows, and on the ground floor to the left, there is one similar window beneath gauged brick heads. To the right on the ground floor, there is a hipped roof angle bay window with moulded sash frames and a terracotta sill moulding. The central entrance door consists of four fielded panels and two glazed panels, topped by a heavy 20th-century hipped hood supported by braces.
To the left end of the house, there is a lower 20th-century extension that is set back. This extension is one storey and attic high, featuring a large flat-roofed dormer.
