Description
This is an early to mid-18th century house located on High Street. It is a five-story building with a basement, constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. A small wooden cornice runs along the top of the front elevation, and a band separates the basement from the ground floor. Four steps lead to an inset door consisting of six panels, two of which are glazed, and set within a plain stucco surround with plain pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The interior features 18th-century panelling in the hall. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 12, 14, and a warehouse previously occupied by G W Plowman and Son, and Holland House.
