Description

Number 24 Market Place is a building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It has a rendered front and stands three storeys tall, featuring a moulded eaves cornice. The façade includes three bolection moulded windows that are hung sashes with glazing bars. There is a band between the first and top storeys, and the building has rusticated quoins. Although the balustraded parapet is missing, the panelled corner piers remain. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This building forms a group with number 25 and the premises occupied by Midland Bank, which are considered buildings of local interest.
