Description

Number 26 Burgate is a building dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is two storeys high and has a rendered exterior with a low-pitched pantile roof that is hipped to the right. The building features a moulded cornice with curved details and has three modern casement windows, along with a band running between the storeys. The ground floor has two windows and a rendered plinth. The entrance is a modern door made of six fielded panels, set within a wooden pilastered surround that includes decorative paterae and a flint hood supported by consoles. The side elevation faces the churchyard. Number 26, along with the Church of St Mary and Nos 26 to 36 (even), forms a group, with No 30 being of local interest only.
