Description

No 4 Priestgate is an 18th-century building with an early 19th-century wing to the east. It stands three storeys tall, constructed of red brick, and features a new pantile roof along with a dentil brick cornice. The building has a stone plinth. The top floor includes one modern window that breaks the eaves, while the first floor has two hung sash windows with glazing bars and three flush sash windows under keystones and flat arches. The ground floor features two windows with three lights each. The entrance is framed by a Roman Doric door surround, complete with a triglyph frieze and a modillion cornice. The east wing is slightly recessed, consisting of two storeys and has one hung sash window with glazing bars set in a reveal with a keystone. No 4, along with Nos 8 to 26 (even), forms a group.
