Description

Number 17 on Priestgate is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed from painted brick with a pantile roof and a diagonal-set brick eaves cornice. The façade features three flush windows, which are hung sashes without glazing bars, set beneath flat arches that include keystones. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels, with two of the panels now glazed, and is framed by a panelled reveal and ribbed surround, topped with a frieze and cornice. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 7 (odd), No 7A, and Nos 9 to 19 (odd).
