Description

Number 16 on Westgate is a 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It is cement rendered and features a pantile roof with coped gable ends and rendered stacks. The building has an eaves cornice and vermiculated rusticated quoins. There are three hung sash windows with glazing bars, two of which are located on the ground floor and have lintels with vermiculated keystones above their cornices. The door, which has six fielded panels, is topped by a rectangular fanlight. Number 16, along with Nos 14, 20, and 22, forms a group with Nos 8 and 10, all of which are of local interest.
