Description

25 Westgate is a building with origins dating back to the 18th century that has been recently restored. It is two storeys high, constructed of brick, and features a pantile roof with a dentil brick eaves cornice. The building has three windows with wood cases, which are modern replacements of hung sashes that include Blazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two windows. The entrance features a modern pedimented doorcase with a door that has six fielded panels, along with a flat arched modern carriage entry. This building is included as part of a group, which also consists of Nos 1 to 31 (odd) and the Avenue Hospital, stables, and wall. No 21, which includes the former No 19, is noted for its local interest.
