Description
22 Westgate is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of red brick with yellow brick dressings. It features a gable end facing the road, with yellow brick end pilasters and a yellow brick gable. The front includes one round-headed casement window with a cill on tabs above a flat-arched window that has a cornice and a cill on tabs. There is a plinth at the base, and the side elevation showcases a dentil cornice made of yellow brick. The main elevation has paired round-headed windows and an angle porch with a panelled door. The roof is covered with fish scale slate. This building is part of a group that includes No 20 and is noted for its local interest alongside Nos 14, 16, 8, and 10.
