Description

The War Memorial is located in front of the Parish Church of St Denys and was erected after 1914. It features six steps leading up to a hexagonal stone base, which has niches with cusped heads that display the names of the deceased. The base supports three statues of warrior kings and a slender shaft that culminates in a Rood. The War Memorial, along with the Parish Church of St Denys, the Vicarage, the Lock-up, and Nos 7 to 12 (consecutive), all form a group of significant structures.
