Description
The walled garden and gardener's bothy, dating from the mid-19th century and altered in the 20th century, were built as part of the Aswarby Park Estate for the Whichcote family. The structure is made of red brick in English garden wall bond of three, topped with tiled copings. The large rectangular garden is enclosed by high walls and features four small planked doors with segmental brick arched heads. On the north side, there is a pair of planked doors, now fitted with 20th-century concrete lintels. Attached to the garden is the gardener's bothy, which has pent slate roofs and two plain sash windows beneath segmental brick arches on the garden side. This site is included for its group value.
