Description
27 Minster Yard is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, possibly incorporating parts of a 17th-century house. It is built of coursed squared rubble and brick, topped with a hipped plain tile roof and featuring two brick side wall stacks. There is a small corner buttress on the southeast side. The house has two storeys plus attics and consists of three bays.
The entrance has an off-centre moulded wooden doorcase with a hood supported by shaped brackets, leading to a half-glazed door from the 19th century. On either side of the door, there are single glazing bar sashes, with the one on the right set in an altered opening. To the right of the entrance, there is a barred cellar light. Above the door, there are three glazing bar sashes, which have concrete and wooden lintels. Higher up, to the right, is a gabled dormer featuring a two-light casement. The southwest end of the house has a single glazing bar sash on each floor. The interior has not been inspected.
