Description

No. 7 Eastgate is a house that has been converted into a house and shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and features late 19th-century windows. The building is constructed of painted brick with stone dressings and has a plain tile roof with two gable stacks. It has a plinth and shouldered coped gable. The structure is two storeys high and consists of two bays in an L-plan layout. The central entrance has a segment-headed doorcase with a keystone, flanked by single canted bay windows that contain plain sashes. Above the entrance, there are two leaded cross casements with sliding shutters. The interior has not been inspected.
