Description

No. 9 Eastgate is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared dressed stone with a brick front and has a pantile roof, featuring two gable stacks. The building has wooden eaves with modillion detailing and gutters. It is two storeys high, plus attics, and has three bays. The entrance features a wooden doorcase with pilasters, a six-panel door with an overlight, and is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the upper level, there are three segment-headed glazing bar sashes. Above these, there are two segment-headed dormers with sliding sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
