Description

This is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century and further division occurring in the mid-19th century. The house is constructed of brick with stone and stucco dressings, and has a plain tile roof with a single gable stack. It features a rendered porch and angle pilaster. Architectural details include a chamfered plinth, a first-floor band, an eaves cornice, a coped parapet, and a gable. The house is two storeys high plus attics, and is three bays wide. A projecting porch to the left has a late 17th-century moulded stone doorcase and a broken segmental pediment on consoles, above which sits a glazing bar sash window. To the right, there are two glazing bar sashes on each floor, with the upper ones taller, all of which have brick flat arches and keystones. Above the main windows are two segment-headed dormers with two-light casements. The interior includes a ground floor room with full-height panelling, fluted Ionic pilasters, a pulvinated frieze, and a dentilled cornice, dating from around 1730.
