Description
Ivydene is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, possibly with origins in the 17th century. It is constructed of roughcast rubble with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and four first-floor windows, arranged in a double-depth plan.
The house has a plinth and chamfered quoins. In the second bay, there is a part-glazed door set within an architrave that includes a pulvinated frieze and a cornice supported by consoles. The windows are also framed with architraves and have flush mullions: there is a single-light window above the door and on both floors in the fourth bay, while the first and third bays contain three-light windows. A band runs along the first floor. The roof features shaped kneelers, ashlar copings, and a two-span design with corniced end stacks. On the left and right returns, there are two-light double-chamfered mullion windows providing light to the roof space of each section.
