Description
Grassgill Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, possibly with a core from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys and two bays. The building features quoins and a central six-panel door set in an ashlar surround, which has splayed bases, a pulvinated frieze, and a cornice. There are 16-pane sash windows also in ashlar surrounds. On the right side of the house, there are blocked fire windows, with a trefoil-headed window on the ground floor and a round-headed window on the first floor. The left side has a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping, along with end stacks. Additionally, there are two small roundels at high level on the left return.
